OUR VINEYARDS
AND TECHNOLOGY
The Cuza Vodă divins are produced on the basis of young, white wines, with a neutral aromatic profile, being especially preferred the Aligoté variety (brought to Bessarabia by the winemaker Constantin Mimi), Chardonnay, Feteasca Albă and other European varieties. The distillates are produced in a special column modernized in 2010 by specialists from France. It is made of copper, which provides a significant contribution to the divins’ quality.

THE HISTORY OF BULBOACA DISTILLERY

At the end of the 19th century, Constantin Mimi founded the first wine castle from Bessarabia in Bulboaca. Furthermore, he created a distillation department implementing the most modern equipment and innovative methods in those times, which included the use of a copper still and the process of aging distillates in oak barrels.

During the Soviet era, the company became state-owned. The Anenii Noi Agro-Industrial Complex is founded in Bulboaca. Under its subordination there were 12 wine points from various localities and over 1500 employees. Due to its geographical location, but also to the presence of the railway, locally produced wines and distillates spread throughout the USSR.

In 1998, the enterprise was privatized and became Agrovin Bulboaca. In 2014, this structure was reorganized, which was the starting point for creating the ``Castel Mimi`` SRL and ``Distileria Bulboaca`` SRL.

At the moment, at Distileria Bulboaca are working about 100 people, including professionals with over 30 years of experience. In the production of divins, they try to keep traditions alive and take into account all the achievements of modern technologies.
